Paolo Arao is a Brooklyn-based artist who works with painting, textiles and collage. He received a BFA from Virginia Commonwealth University and was a participant at the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture. Paolo has shown his work in numerous group exhibitions both nationally and internationally. He has been awarded residencies at The Studios at MASS MoCA, The Lower East Side Keyholder Residency, The Wassaic Artist Residency, The Vermont Studio Center and the Fire Island Artist Residency. His work has been recently published in New American Paintings, Maake Magazine and Esopus. His forthcoming solo exhibition “52 Weeks” will be on view in NYC at Barney Savage Gallery in TriBeCa June 9 – July 8, 2018.
